Dad's Recommentdations - Lake Tahoe

I just got done talking with my DAD (I just met him pretty recently) so we are still getting to know each other pretty much and it's been wonderful.  He told me about a fantastic experience he had back in 1980 at Lake Tahoe.  He had my 3 brothers, his young sons, with him and they camped for 2 weeks.

From the sound of it they had a memorable time.  He told me that I just had to go NOW and boy if I could really leave today, I would.

I live in SoCal so I have pretty much explored California down this way, but not too much up there.  I have seen the Sequoia's twice, once in Winter and the other in Autumn, both of which were truly magical. I went to Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco when visiting my Uncle in Mt. View and flew to Sacramento many, many years ago when I was in Jr. High.

So, I am extremely tempted to take his advice.  He said to just pop the tent in the car, pick up a few camp supplies and head on out!!  My dad knows me, we both have the "Traveling Bug".  He actually gave me that wandering spirit where you just can't sit still in the same place for very long without getting antsy.  So I have posted some cools sites I have found and a video about the place he stayed those many years ago.

 Enjoy!
